    This one was very special:

I’ve never drank so much beer in dry January!
By the end of January Kirk we need a list of your top 5 low/non alcohol suggestions. Looks like you are enjoying it!!

This was a lovely AF beer to signify 5pm Friday:

But I’m afraid there will be a pause in my postings.

Erm....Dry January is experiencing a small rain shower now.

I will have to disagree with you there Kirk. I am having to drink some tonight as I accidentally ordered a box with this morning's food delivery (the perils of online shopping with only small photos to look at). I'd rate it as just drinkable.

It is certainly hoppy but the aftertaste is a bit weird and strangely it doesn't feel right in the mouth. Perhaps it'll take a bit of getting used to. I have another three cans to get through....

Or I might break out a Peroni.

    On offer at Morrison’s...

...don’t bother - it’s awful. Reminiscent of Kaiber.

Most of their AF line is currently on a 25% discount - through to the end of January I believe. If you order enough to qualify for free delivery it works out ~70p a tin.

Helpful thread: I agree with most of the recommendations and condemnations I've tried (although I find the Doom Bar and Speckled Hen offerings disgusting). Adnams Ghost Ship I find the best recreation of an English Ale, but it is bit soapy in the mouth: perfectly acceptable though.

Nanny State is way too hoppy for me, but Lost AF and Punk AF are fine.

Of others that I don't think have been mentioned, I'd say Big Drop Uptown Lager is lovely, refreshing, yeasty stuff. I was listening to a CAMRA podcast interview with the head brewer at Big Drop, and he gave all sorts of interesting background on how they choose brewing conditions, yeasts, malts and hops to suit flavoursome 0.5% brews, and also take great care to get a good mouth feel.

Big Drop do a regular delivery scheme, which gives you free shipping on 24 bottles, and you can choose Galactic Stout, Uptown lager, IPA or a mixed case (and vary the order online each month, and miss months and add in extra deliveries etc - it's quite flexible). Setting this up at first is slightly tricky, but email their customer services and they'll sort you out.

Big drop are easily the best I've tried.
The only ones that taste 'right'.

Their Collab a couple of years ago with tiny rebel was superb

Not a beer but have been trying a non booze G&T this week. It’s much more enjoyable than booze free beer.

A little alcohol free tribute to the snow. For the snow has probably saved the house from being flooded tonight!

Let’s just hope it keeps cold overnight and water levels drop!

Yeah... but it has some really expensive non alcoholic distilled ‘spirit’ in it...
To be fair the spirit does smell and taste like gin so it adds that complex flavour and smell over a bog standard glass of tonic.

Oh and it had a wedge of lemon in it as well, so it must have been a G&T

After a bit of excess last night (see the whisky thread), this is a refreshing change tonight.
