Must admit that the watch doesn't particularly hit my fancy but that's irrelevant. All in a good cause. :)
A Romanian hospital imho may face more problems than some other hospitals.

I agree with your assessment of the watch, but: hey! we aren't going to win it anyway, and there's always a fundraising opportunity with it!

I’m, in for one. Great gesture OP, glad you’re ok.

BTW how are people putting TZ-UK name in, is it as forename? Thought I did that but may have chosen anonymity.

Yes, you did both. I assume that you did not intend to make it anonymous so I have switched it to visible through the management portal.

For anybody unsure how to display a username on the fundraising page, you can use the 'Add a comment' link in the e-mail you should have received shortly after making the donation. I think that support messages are only visible to the organisers but First Name and Last Name fields are shown and can reflect your username if you wish.

I believe that you can also switch between anonymity and displayed information there also.

And here's the main link again.

I have now placed a raffle participant list (which I will occasionally update) in Post #2.

Please advise myself or Mr Wooster if you spot any errors, or if you have donated and do not wish to take part in the draw.

    Cheers,

    Matthew

I thought about what could be a good way to show appreciation for the generous donations... so here they are, the next couple of watches added to the pool.

    First, a Hamtun Nanok White.

This one is also almost unworn, comes with bracelet, strap, box, papers, etc. It's still under warranty I think, btw.

I will also add a Traser Commander Titanium (bracelet inclusive):

This one's a bit more battered, had it for a long time, but it has been serviced recently (has a new movement, comes together with B&P).

The pics are yet again stolen from the net - could anybody please suggest a good choice for uploading pictures? Used to upload with Imgur, not working properly these days (it seems).

    Many thanks to all,
    Christian

Wooster, you once sent me a free watch (years ago) and you’ve always struck me as a really decent member here. I’m sorry to only now learn of your COVID issues, but I am very glad you’re here and well!

    I will donate £20 now.

    PS that Hamtun looks lovely!!

PPS kudos to Mr Curta, who is already known as a ‘proper TZUK gent’ and has done me a generous favour in the past.

    (donation now done)

Try turning off any adblocker you may have running (Ghostery, for example), it worked for me.

Also worth trying a different browser. E.g. Safari on iOS seems to have problems.

Firefox was no go with or without Ad Blocker. Chrome did the trick so that's two from me

I wonder how much GoFundMe charities lose because of those tech issues?

Hopefully most who wish to support a good cause find a way, but the occasional compatibility problems did come as a surprise. A shame as it has some great features such as a straightforward control panel and an incredibly useful messaging system.

It's a bit of swings and roundabouts with these things. I've been plagued with failed donations on VMG, which is probably worse as the supporter often thinks that their payment has succeeded. I think that JustGiving is a bit more donor friendly but lacks that messaging system. Setting up and managing the page is a lot easier with GoFundMe than either of those.

OP, glad to hear you are recovering and avoided intensive care. Matthew, well done for helping organise this. But then, you are one of the forums fundraiser experts!

Please put me down for three tickets, donation made under David Forgrieve. Realised years ago I should have chosen a cooler username...

Glad to hear you're well and getting over it Christian.

    Great effort again.

Just put in for £20 but managed to leave the nickname off & then got locked out via too many password attempts due to my incompetence! (it's A Wilmot btw).

I was hesitating on this, but the thought of technical problems and reacquainting myself with Netscape proved too tempting to resist.

Rather disappointingly all went without a hitch, at my end at least.

2 for me please - hope things are improving in Romania.

You never know - next GTG and all that. How many stomach pumps do they have in their inventory?

And I've paid the forfeit for last night's sartorial shortcomings.
