What chest size is this ?

I am looking at perhaps buying a jacket from amazon but don't understand the sizing, do you think it is pit to pit ?

Looks like someone else had a similar query:

Question: Your size chart says large chest size is 22.83 in inches is it a typo as I am a 42” chest.
Answer: I have a 42" chest and stand 5'10" tall, ordered a large and it fitted nicely.

Certainly looks like lots of typos in their listing therefore!

It must be pit-to-pit. They've probably laid one flat and measured across it.
