    Gardener/Tree Surgeon - Sleaford/Lincoln Area

    Hi all

Need a gardener/tree surgeon to deal with some trees in the garden of my parents old place, now a rental.

Property is near Sleaford, Lincs, not local to me at all

Agent has drawn a blank on all the gardeners they know, either too busy, in isolation or too big a job for them

There's 2 trees. 1 about 15ft judging by the pics, needs a good trim and tidy up, the other, the fir tee, about 20ft? is starting to lean over and apparently has a split trunk, so probably needs removing

Are these a job for a proper tree surgeon, or would the right gardener be able to tackle it? Anyone from that neck of the woods have any recommendations i can contact for a quote?

    Cheers

    Hello

I am using https://www.brownbeartreecare.co.uk/ to remove about 20 trees in Lincoln. They have not done the work yet but are professional and have sent all the right paperwork in advance of the job.

    Hope this helps.

    Thanks

    Michael

I’d say a competent gardener could easily deal with these.

I agree. Neither is too big for hand tools and a bit of common sense.

Hardest part is disposing of the prunings ... beware of 'cowboys' who might fly tip the lot ... you would be liable if checks not made to ensure safe disposal. If that is a blue cedar, the wood is good for turning ... a local wood turner might be interested. I've just pruned a 20ft tall hazel ... took me one afternoon using a pruning saw ... and another afternoon cutting / chopping all the smaller branches ... kept the longer 'poles' for recycling.

A 'tree surgeon' is a bit of overkill for your parents' trees ... both DIY jobs apart from the disposals ... unless a bonfire is permissible

I’m in Lincoln and used a guy for years. John at Woodpecker Tree Services, based at Waddington. Loads of pictures of his work on his Facebook page.

Mate of mine has a company doing tree work and landscaping. He’s a one-man band but specialist in trees and has some very high-end clients.
Happy to pass on his details, just PM me.

He lives in Sleaford I think. One of the Lincoln satellite villages for sure.
