Today's advent prize is a €100 gift card.
Thought I'd share this with any fellow Nomos fans on the forum!
https://nomos-glashuette.com/en/advent-calendar
Basically each day a different box will appear with an image on the calendar of the prize. Click it to see what's on offer that day, and give your name & email to enter into the prize draw. You have to enter the prize draw on the day, and day 1 has already closed (Germany is 1 hour ahead) but day 2 (the bracelet on the top right) is open.
Enjoy - wishing you all the best of luck!

As Nomos do not sell enough accessories to fill an Advent calendar, I wonder if later prizes will have more value, i.e., some watches from their extensive collections?
From memory, in previous years, they only had one watch in the advent calendar - a doctors without borders edition.
Surely there is enough accessories when you consider straps of different colours/materials and buckles. Throw in a few tools like the strap changer and the sun dial ring and a few more gift cards I think they can easily get to 23 and a watch on the 24th
I have entered for the last few days. I like Nomos emails. So German. Like the last line ‘this is automated but still sent with love’ or something to that effect
The Ludwig Automatic Date watch in my previous post is todays prize.
Entry available until 11pm tomorrow (06/12).
It's a beauty!
Well that is very encouraging - a watch on day 6; go go go Nomos, let's have some more of your lovely watches!
All finished now, did we have any winners on the forum?
^Bought the sundial. Very nice indeed. They have never discounted these I think.
I had a look at the sundial on the Nomos web site https://nomos-glashuette.com/en/stor...mber=SONNESTLO. Someone doesn’t understand how time zones work:
“You can ensure that the sundial still works accurately by selecting the city version that best approximates the latitude of your location.”
Timezones (or longitude) are irrelevant to sundials.
The latitude, ie how you are away from the equator on the other hand does.
It’s all to done to the angle sunlight is cast relative to the earth.
The month scales on each of the latitudes are graduated differently to compensate for the increasing variation in day length the further you get from the equator.

This was taken at around 9:20am local time today:
OK now I'm super confused. I though the light was supposed to shine through the little hole and create a dot in the approximate right place?
No idea about anything to do with Stowa to be honest. I guess there will be thousands of people involved in these things. I believe the Nomos one was legit simply because of the prize choices.
