or just buy seiko . even with ordinary wear lume dim but visable until morning on my sdbx017

we also do have a wee uv torch - literally in both senses. its both small and was formerly used to looks for signs of geriatric cat about the house.

in a pinch try the torch on your mobile ...

I've never had a watch that had lume fit for any sort of normal use.

They all glow really brightly for a few minutes then fade. When I look at my watch in the middle of the night, it's not readable.

They should just stop using it. Completely pointless.

I use a Nitecore Tiki GITD (Glow In The Dark) as the keychain torch on my house keys. It includes a UV emitter which is perfect for charging lume. It's also an excellent torch.

All my watches are readable til morning. I hate having crap lume on a watch as I work all hours and need it all the time.

I recently got a pulsar chrono, 20 odd years old and lume pretty terrible so that has gone off to James to get relumed.

I don't think that the non-GITD one has the UV emitter, though. I seem to remember that it has Red and Blue side LEDs (whereas the GITD has UV and White).

Usually use my phone torch which isn't very even on the dial or hold it up to the ceiling under one of the spot lights for 10 seconds. Does the job.

Just double checked and it has thankfully 😅. There is a LE one with red and blue LEDs.

I didn't even know that 'charging your lume' was a thing people did!

Every day is a school day on here.

Yes...it has been appalling recently - and I've got several Eco-drives to keep charged!!! Hot news is that the Sun has just come out, so they are all outside sunbathing before the sun goes down!

Zebralight SC600 MK11 - small, light, takes the same battery as my ecig (Li-ion 18650) and will fully charge the lume in20 secs.

I bought a Nitecore Tube UV (link) for this purpose to use in the cinema rather than a white light that might disturb other audience members. I rather like the Tiki GITD as it is dual purpose and reasonably priced. Do I need one...not really. Will I buy one...hmmm.

    Go for it!

I have a number of Nitecore Tubes (though not the UV variant). Also an Olight i1R S (with another on its way), a couple of Fenix UC02's, a Nitecore Tup (fantastic 1000 lumen torch, but just a little bit too large to go on a keyring) and probably others.

The Tiki is currently my favourite.

For photos a Nitecore concept II, 6500lm charges with a quick flash lol (micro second burst is all you need)

Any other time a UV Jaxman E3, or one of my CR123 Surefire T1s (brilliant wee things)

I use a Ultrafire Tactical Military Zoomable 90000LM T6 LED Flashlight Torch Headlamp. Ideal for walking the dog too.

A UV torch. Lights up quickly opposed to sitting with watch held above by lamp; as I used to do.

Does everyone not blast their lume before bed, so they can nod off gazing beatifically into the soft green glow?

    Just me then.

I use a nitecore tube UV
    https://www.amazon.co.uk/dp/B01G69Z8..._r0OXFb0D5DJ57

It’s not massively powerful but it’s small and it’s been through the wash at least three times and still works.
