Have just finished reading Alex's book; it was a superb distraction from the all-consuming fog of misery that is currently enveloping us.
Thoroughly entertaining and can recommend to all ACD fans.

Huge Holmes fan. Please send link!
Many thanks,

A link for me too please. I've sadly exhausted my powers of deductive reasoning so hopefully your book will entertain and educate.
Many thanks in advance.

Now purchased, thanks Alex.
Happily it also forced me to dust off and fix the Kindle that hasn't worked for a long while and I'd all but given up on.
Looking forward to the read once I work through my backlog of other books.

Links on their way shortly! 👍
So clever my foot fell off.
Despite my best attempts at sleuthing, I can’t seem to figure out the title without a link... Can I get one please?
Well, well, well... :-D
I'm not as think as you drunk I am.
I thoroughly enjoyed the collection, which were certainly in the style of the originals. I shall have to dig them out once again. My favourite was the three parter, deliciously gruesome!
I mentioned the book to a friend who bought the paperback for her father, who is a huge Holmes fan, having read everything. He finished it before me and was delighted.
Congratulations Alex!

I'm a huge Sherlock Holmes fan, so I've just ordered a copy which is on its way to Denmark. Looking very much forward to reading it!
Thanks chaps!
I'm so delighted you enjoyed it!
Please, if you can find a moment, a rating or review (preferebaly five star as most very gratifyingly are!) would be very gratefully received.

Book arrived! Can’t wait to read it. A bit crazy at work at the moment but hopefully will get a chance in the near future.

I'm delighted - the first one is just a gentle warm up though... if you liked that I think you are really going to enjoy the rest!
Please do let me know how you get on.
Based on the success of this book so far, I have been sketching out some more stories. Once I have finished the teen to adult sci-fi novel I am now writing, I am certain I will return to Sherlock.
Oh, and positive reviews of The Lost Case Files are very gratefully received!
So clever my foot fell off.
PS - it is now on Kindle Unlimited for a promotional period in the UK (my publisher is managing this side of things as they know what they are doing and I don't!) so if you are a member, you can get it included at the moment!
It's already had more than a hundred downloads since it went live on Kindle Unlimited yesterday.

TheFlyingBanana I thought you might be interested in this recent Guardian article about Holmes and expired copyrights, if you had not already seen it:

Thanks for that - an interesting read. Fortunately my stories don't make any reference to any elements from the last stories Doyle wrote, mine are set in the 1880's to early 90's so not an issue for my book, but clearly some authors have got caught out over the years. It seems the issue is with some features of the stories he wrote in The Casebook of Sherlock Holmes - published 1927.
At the end of the day, there have been many new Holmes stories written since Doyle, and my book is just one of them, but thanks for the article!

I've just bought a copy for Mrs Sish's birthday next week.
Sent through the ether by diddling with radio waves
Not sure how I missed this!
I've been dropping hints all over the forum to encourage the return of Jim Banana and I realise now you've been working on an even more impressive project.
Please send a link, you will have another sale, A.
For anyone else who might be interested, Amazon are doing a special promotion on the ebook for this weekend only - free kindle download.
It is currently ranked Number 1 in some categories (!) and there have been over a thousand downloads in the past few hours.
As it has now received many positive reviews, I'll put the link here:
https://www.amazon.co.uk/Lost-Case-F...6374038&sr=8-1
If you would like a free copy, please, er, feel free! The promotion will end tomorrow evening.
Any more positive reviews very gratefully received - proceeds are going to charity - a new Scouts and Guides residential centre.

Just a little update...
A couple of weeks ago my book reached the Number 1 position in several Amazon categories having now sold several thousand copies since release.
My publisher was delighted, as was I, and I wanted to pass on my thanks to those here who bought or downloaded it.
Proceeds are going to charity, so if you do fancy a copy be assured it is in a good cause and that, according to the reviews, you should hopefully enjoy it.
Thanks again,
Alex

That’s fantastic, TheFlyingBanana ! Well deserved, too, since your stories cleave so closely to the originals.
Just ordered a paper copy & looking forward to it's arrival.
Not normally a big reviewer, but i will do with this one once read.
Is this still available ?
Thank you all so much.
I hope you enjoy it as others seem to have.
Let me know how you get on.
I am particularly interested to hear from other readers here if they had any particular favourites amongst the stories, as I am sketching out a Volume 2 that I will start on once I have finished writing my current book (probably some time next year).
