Any watch to add to those I already have?
Or any watch, but that’s it and I am stuck with the one I pick as an only watch?
I was asked this question the other day and was able to answer it with an immediate response. Style, heritage, finishing and unrecognisable to most of the population. Perfect for every occasion too. Unless I win the Lotto it'll never be achievable but that's OK, that's why we dream.
Simple three-hander with class in every design element and the work of art that is the bracelet! It has to be the VC Overseas ref 4500V/110A-B483.
What would you have?
Any watch to add to those I already have?
Or any watch, but that’s it and I am stuck with the one I pick as an only watch?

If money no object and I was limited to having just one watch it would have to be the Patek Aquanaut Travel Time 5164A-001.
I don't ever use chrono functions and don't dive but I do (or did) travel quite often so a gmt function would be useful for me. Also I haven't worn a suit since my wedding day 20 years ago & generally dress casual so this style of watch is perfect.

Reverso Grande GMT :0)
If it exists, I’d have a Seiko with a correctly aligned chapter ring
I would also choose a VC Overseas but the Ultra Thin (from 2016)
https://www.hodinkee.com/articles/th...-perfect-watch
Patek 1518 in steel would be nice
The new model Rolex Submariner in black with date.
I am very lucky, I already have the one watch that I want above all others - Rolex 1655 Explorer11.
If money was no object I'd have to have a very long think. I imagine I'd end up with some huge gold Patek mega complicated watch and end up hating it

If money was no object it would have to be a Grand Seiko SBGD001 for me, Grand Seiko's are beautiful as it is and this is the best of the bunch
Please may I have a Ferdinand Berthoud FB 2RE?

New Rolex Sub at a retail price
More realistically this one
Probably this. Lange 1815 chronograph, white gold with this beautiful movement.

Not really anything I crave but if money was no object and it was a gift.... A Rolex Daytona Paul Newman, cream dial with red chapter.
Cheers,
Neil.
Euro Millions is £115m tonight...
I'm not sure what I'd buy but it would be great fun finding out.

Probably this, because if it was my own money I was spending then realistically there'd always be something ahead of it in the queue.
Wouldnt mind one of these, but sadly i am from Wales. Land of the poor
Just a plain old three-hander Aquanaut would do me very nicely, thank you.
If just one, it would be a simple three hander, no dive bezel, water resistant enough to survive more than a day in the rain. It doesn't cost a gazillion quid, it isn't made of unobtainium. It can look good anywhere.
I happily already have it, the Explorer!
Or, goddammit, now I see the Aquanaut posted above and I want that too.
A single watch?? You're a madman!
Probably a MB&F or Urwerk.

A red triangle 369 submariner would hit the spot ........ if only !
For me it would be an A Lange & Sohne Datograph.

Boringly predictably........... a standard Maxi dial 5513 sub, probably a type 3.
Don't think an Military issue or Comex version would be realistically wearable these days, although I am aware some do!
Enough Said
If it had to do absolutely every duty - a Submariner 14060 (non-date)
If it was every duty other than gardening and motorbikes - it would be a Dornbleuth.
It's done. https://forum.tz-uk.com/showthread.p...of-Time-PAM670
I wear this more than any other watch. It's made to wear...
The one I already have thank you.
F-104 Starfighter cockpit and Zenith Tipo chronograph.
Since I’ve been wearing this for long periods it hasn’t needed adjustment once.
it doesn’t hack so can’t be to sure but it seems spot on.
Big but wears comfortable, clear dial, chrono and bezel to time things what more do you want? plus 100WR I absolutely love this watch.
Plus I don’t care or worry about the re sale value so I can wear and enjoy it.
It’s a difficult one there are a number I hope to own in the future (more a wish than a hope)
A RN issued Seamaster
A 5517
And a 3646
However if it’s pure fantasy, The one watch I would love to own would be the watch Col. Tibbets wore when flying Enola Gay.
It is a morbid fascination but the role it played in history is second to none.
AP Royal Oak Chrono black with white sub dials.
A Rolex Milisub, a member on here kindly let me try one on, it felt like being handed the keys to a Ferrari, perfect functional design as well as the historical significance
I honestly don't know and if I did i'm pretty sure I would then want something else, difficult.
