That is really nice. It would be a shame to wear it (although I would)
I thought some might find it of interest.I never knew what they looked like when they left the factory,

Absolutely stunning, but heck of a conundrum. Wear it and it's no longer NOS, or lock it away, which would be a crying shame.

That went for over 10,000 USD !
10,166 to be precise - plus 35$ for shipping!
And the sad thing is the dealer prob paid peanuts for it off some widow.
Can you imagine, was obviously a big investment/precious to the gent who kept it 50 years & to honour him they flog it to a dealer and the dealer gets $10k
Normally I would say buy it to wear it but the watches that attract such prices do so only because they are NOS. That is their USP. Once you start wearing it , it becomes same as thousands of other 6105s selling for far far less.
OK, it's very nice and it has the remains of the caseback sticker, and an easy to come by box, but so what? To me, it's not NOS, and he paid well over the top for it.
We'll see if it turns up again......
Unworn and unwearable is a more accurate description.
A lovely piece but who ever won it got caught up in the hype.
Someone on the seiko Facebook group is claiming to have bought it.
What it’s worth is always what someone is willing to pay,has it’s an auction there were obviously more than 1.
He may just put it away for 20 years, the seiko recreations aren’t exactly cheap.
