After any recommendations on pubs and eateries as were booked to travel for the weekend with another couple on 4th December and wondered if anyone had any favourite haunts, we are staying in Cowes and are guessing the boozier the better so it will need to be walkable

We stayed in Shanklin over the summer and enjoyed the steamer inn on the seafront. looks like it might be closed at the moment and also on the other side of the island though.

Thanks for the comments iow is expected to be tier 1 which I hope is confirmed so should be able to travel, booked the sailing club winter gardens so looking for similar venues as well need to book a venue with food in order to have a beverage or 5

friends of ours also said about the hut but its seasonal so closed until March and saltys is closed until next year after a fire according to the website
