The only people getting flamed are those buying brand new models and selling with a huge mark up a few days later.

Selling your 40mm MK1 at a reasonable price, albeit for more than you’d get on SC, is hardly worthy of a flaming. Adding the FR contribution into the mix and I’d say you were pretty safe.

I knew immediately it was too big - no bonding was going to happen, so not a lot of point holding on to it. I can't sell here because I haven't made enough posts, but I did offer it back to the seller for what I paid, because I thought they could get more for it. I'm happy to be able to offer it on Ebay, even if that means twisting your knickers.

I may well sell my Baby Dreadnought on there too - I bought it as part of the first batch, and I've been bonding off and on with it ever since but suspect it may turn out to be too small (hence trying the Voyager). Still undecided. Should I come on here and ask your permission to sell first?

One’s too big, one’s too small. Good luck with the sale, Goldilocks.

You catch on real quick. I don't need luck with the sale, the quality of Eddie's watches ensures that. Goldilocks knew what she wanted, you'd prefer a burnt mouth...

Q: What did the seabiscuit say to the buttercup? A: Chill out. Presumably, buttercups are better served cold.

This one raises a question as the seller states he bought it new from Zeno in 2020. Eddies version were sold circa 2005 so have Zeno put some old dials into their version of the PRS3. I'm sure that Zeno made the Broadarrows for Eddie.
If so will this rattle Omega's cage?

There were perhaps 50 cases and dials remaining where the bezels didn't line up and I rejected them. They've been selling them over the years.

Sorry for the daft question but is there a place to sell TF watches here / is that ok? I managed to score one of the latest release and would rather it goes to someone who missed out, at a sensible price, rather than someone who might grab it and flip it.

Not a daft Q at all. There is, in fact, a forum for sales - you just need to meet a minimum post threshold to view it (50 posts IIRC).

I started the process this weekend after dragging it out for a year.
2 gone and one to go
They Great watches but they did not get worn so it’s best someone else can enjoy them.

Gilt dial 25 sold here for £705.00. Wow.

Strange to bid to that level when there has been another listed for weeks with a BIN or Best Offer for £560.00.

    Hi Guy

Did you sell the prs 25?

If not, I would be interested if in good condition. I sold mine last year when prices got silly but I have got sellers remorse.

    So what condition, year, price.

    Thanks
    Ian

Don't really understand why there is so much vitriol for a seller making a quick couple of hundred quid on a PRS-25 in hard times when similar activity for Rolex sports watch sellers asking many thousands more than what they paid for them, especially vintage, seems to be perfectly acceptable ...

If someone has the money and wants to pay £500 for a Gilt Everest, presumably because they can't be bothered with the hassle of trying to buy one in a 2 minute window once a month, then why get bent out of shape about it ? Presumably buyer and seller are both happy, otherwise the transaction wouldn't take place ?

Probably because the money grabbing sh*ts who are profiteering off the back of Eddie's watches on eBay are depriving a genuine watch lover of the chance to buy a watch into which he/she's had some input during it's gestation before production. The rest are just watches that are vastly overpriced at RRP before their even more ludicrous "market prices" are achieved.

This ^^^ - people who've taken an active interest in the development of a watch, who see the forum as more than simply a "profit opportunity" miss out due to the greed of the few.

I've changed the terms of the guarantee, it's still 24 months but for the first 12 months the guarantee applies only to the original purchaser.

Good move, don't blame you at all.

I'd prepare for some "unless sold at or below RRP via SC" requests.

Good move though the flippers and profiteers may not be so keen.
