    This person got burned.

Not really surprising, when you see how poor the listing is.

I don’t know but the price goes up every time I look at the listing!

Edit: I privateered mine back on here for the £360 I paid for it recently.

Needs to sell a Timefactors watch because he couldn't get hold of another Timefactors watch but won't sell to people who like Timefactors watches. OK then.

I can't believe the audacity of this guy. Looking at his sold items he seems to have sold it twice already recently but the sale has fallen through. Choosing beggers, much?

As an aside, I had intended to bid on the white dial navigator above, and was amazed that it didn't go for more! Kicking myself at that price.

I guess some people just have more money than patience. I would just rather wait for the store to open and be right there when it goes live. That is what I have done every time. I sure am glad I was there for the black dialed Navigator. I have not seen hardly a single Navigator for sale on ebay, although I did see one on SC which is a good thing to give other members an opportunity.

I think people will spend the money because there are a number of positive reviews from YouTubers and that the current purchasing process seems to require more the luck of the man who broke the bank at Monte Carlo than patience.

I'm sure Eddie will get on top of the latter issue in time, but if you want an Everest (or other TF watch) now, buying a new one (as with some other Microbrands - Helm got a big backlash for this and now have a waiting list) is almost impossible.

I'd love to get a Caribbean when they're launched, but the days when you could just order up when and if it suited you seem to be gone, for now, at least.

I think that might be one that has been in the sales section for a few weeks without any takers. I kept looking at it but resisted, just!

that one went at retail price, I've seen another one sold slightly over. I believe the navigator is going to be a slow burner: is not as popular as the Everest yet, and maybe never will, but it is a truly excellent watch.
Maybe not as much a crowd-pleaser being manual and not Rolex-like, but excellent anyway.

In the long term, the Everest will always be more popular than the Navigator. Who ever heard of the Mk11 outside enthusiast circles?

Bought the Navigator before deciding to successfully try my luck securing one of the last black dial Everest's before Xmas.

Took me a little while to come round to the qualities of the Everest but now I've have one its getting far more wrist time than the Nav, feels a little more comfortable on the wrist and particularly since switching to a leather wrist strap.

My experience was just the opposite, maybe the novelty effect is the one to blame 😅.
Anyway, they are both great watches, deciding between the two is a nice headache to have.

It was quite a bit less than Eddie's price. I'm sure I paid more than £1000 for mine.

I'm sure that was tongue in cheek, Armida has nothing whatsoever to do with Time Factors.

    Eddie

Of course, just jesting. As an aside though, Timefactors are on the up and up on Ebay. Once they turned up on saved searches probably once every 2/3 weeks, now its pretty much daily with a premium to boot. You should be an adviser to Rolex.

Many of the "Eddie's" on eBay seem to be offered by entrepreneurs (I was told to call them that, rather than day-traders or worse .....) The pieces that I am most interested in are probably held by true fans and do not come up for sale. I have been on the look-out for a PRS-15 Lady Speedbird but never saw one come up for sale in 10+ years. The interest is no longer there after my wife passed 3+ years ago.

It is a shame that these entrepreneurs disrupt the "supply chain" and that the true aficionados are left high and dry facing the dilemma of not having a particular model in the collection or paying an obscene premium for said model(s). Sad all around, but it is the world we live in.

I know what you mean and I have called a few of them out on it and they always say it's supply and demand. I am sorry that you were unable to pick one up but I am truly sorry for your loss of your wife.

It's an issue in loads of industries at the moment it seems (bikes, games & tech, watches +++). Anything that is even slightly supply constrained attracts scalping that created more supply / demand issues and leads to high prices.
It's been exacerbated by Covid with supply issues, but also lots of home workers now having more time & money to do something with.

Photos were dreadful and yet a premium price reached, unless shilled. A couple of weeks ago this one as new sold for £369 with better pics. Ebay can be a fickle place sometimes.

Yes it can be a fickle place, there’s a Dreadnought Voyager on for £425 that’s hanging about still for a fair price.
