Where I can positively identify scalpers, I block them from ordering again. I currently have 24 people blocked from ordering but you should bear in mind that by blocking scalpers, this is lost revenure for me.

I am not sure I understand this: There are quite a few threads on regulars complaining they didn't manage to get their watch despite being there, fingers ready, as you open the shop's doors.
This to me says that the current limiting factor (how many you can package and ship in a week) is what limits your revenue, not the fact that a few people may be blocked as there seems to be more than enough of a queue to replace them. But of course I do not have the data that you have.

Agreed. Any of the unsold of the 200 limit could be put in SC, and I am sure that they will go quickly.

    That's a surprisingly good price!

Since you're telling us after the sale, do I take it you were the buyer? ;-)

Man, some of these scalpers are of their rockers...

I really hope most people who wanted a white dial everest or expedition got in their order today so as to not have to deal with these guys.

There was more than £3000 of orders from blocked buyers yesterday (and automatically cancelled). Since Shopify records these orders as actual orders, they are included when the store closes once 200 orders have been received and therefore this is lost revenue.

If always happening, maybe tweak that 200 limit upwards slightly?

If anything, this will tell you that the block was correct as they keep coming back for more because they have a good business buying from you and selling via eBay.

As Kingstepper suggests, increase the 200 limit to 210 and you'll be fine? Or there maybe a parametrisation that Shopify doesn't count them (not familiar with settings, but sounds strange that they would allow blocking but then count these orders towards the max).

I understand. If this cannot be changed, it means that instead of selling the 200 on Sunday you have a little extra capacity. Would it not be possible to make a flash announcement in one of the Hotchpotch subform (for the restricted access to members) and reopen the shop the next minute once it has been reset for the extras?
That would allow you to recuperate the lost revenue at full capacity, if technically feasible.

No idea if that is feasible but sounds a nice work around for the lost revenue. But still means Eddie is posting more than 200.

I’d love to order some new natos but don’t want to drop the average revenue per transaction down vs his ability to sell watches.

I may have misunderstood but if £3000 in revenue are lost every week it means those watches, counted within the weekly allocation by the software, are not effectively sold because the buyer is blocked. Therefore putting them in a flash sale on a week day wouldn’t increase the burden on P&P.

It does seem one of those annoying unintended outcomes, if the banned "traders" are still blocking the purchases of others by reservinvg a "sale". Even if they do not actually receive the watches.

    Jubilee open market values

I occasionally watch Time Factors watch prices on eBay and I recently saw a never worn Jubilee in the USA open at $0.99 in a standard auction. I remembered to watch the auction to see what it went for.

It finished at 14:00:01 (UK time) today at $820.00, or £667.21 (according to eBay's slightly optimistic currency convertor).

I thought that this was a rather interesting observation of the open market value of the Everest PRS-25 Jubilee.

Ah well you say that, and I'm aware that Eddie keeps 001, but all these Everests are I would think made from the same case type, and Eddie has easily sold more than 1000 of all types, so as unlikely as a 000 ending seems, it could be case number 1000 of the Everests.

    Will get a screenshot

My old one in fact, sold on here 25 June 2022 for £115. The seller has even used some of my photos. Says in the description that her partner had owned this for 10 years.

The watch is being sold from the same town that I posted it to. First name is the same.

I have taken screen shots of all the Ebay listing.

    Missed your rather sarcastic response.

From the description the seller appears not to know much about the watch. If as you say it was a genuine seller who had owned it for 18 years, they would know what movement was in it.

Looking at the sellers other items I don't think the listing is by a genuine collector, but rather a reseller trying to capitalise on the current popularity of Timefactors products.

We all know that Eddie makes a great product. What this thread aims to highlight is when sellers buy purely to make a profit when reselling at expense of the genuine fans who wish to enjoy Eddie's products. My post above was pointing out someone attempting to do that.

The PRS3 above was listed at £500 and didn't sell, and then relisted at £420 and didn't sell. My original point stands that it was in fact listed at pretty strong money.

Hah. I take no sides but it isn't even possible to have owned a sapphire PRS-10 for 10 years!

I can't recall exactly when the sapphire PRS-10 was introduced but it is certainly much more recent than 10 years ago.

Sorry guys, pure laziness on my part - things are slow on SC so I had Juliette stick it on eBay, if anyone wants it for what I paid

I'll put myself on the ''naughty step'' re SC for 6 months,
