Le Forban Sécurité Mer - new model

You may recall I brought to your attention about a year ago the revival of the famous French brand from the seventies Le Forban Sécurité Mer - brought back to life as a microbrand.

Here's my post from last December

    https://forum.tz-uk.com/showthread.p...ghlight=forban

    And here's my watch

They have just lauched a new model - La Brestoise to join the La Malouine.

It has the same case as the previous model, with a slightly taller crown, a new caseback and a dial recreating the brand's first ever watch from 1969.

    The new model

Their first release was really nice but the new model is lovely, very much the sort of watch I like. Very Glashütte like
I will be keeping an eye on this.

    Tempting this will be.

That is very nice indeed. Although I wonder why they opted for the Miyota 8215 rather than the 9015?

That’s a handsome watch. And it looks well-priced too. Excellent!

I always enjoy a good retro diver, and this certainly looks nice. The movement (non-hacking) is a bit of a turnoff though, and I always roll my eyes when watch companies cling to who or what used their watches 50 years ago.

Perhaps it allows the case to be abit thinner? Or they're being retro to a fault?

    Really nice looking watch that.

Does it just come on the black strap?

just checked ebay, there is an original one for sale. Not sure how easy it would be to restore though.
