Thread: Covid and DNA testing.

  1. #1

    Covid and DNA testing.

While analyzing a sample taken for a Covid test would a persons DNA details be obtained ? if so it could/would be an ideal time to build a country/world wide DNA data base with all the advantages that could perhaps bring, what do you think ?

ps: I think the invasion of privacy arguments for stuff like this are a load of b*****ks :)

Sounds like a good plan. Could make the solving of serious crime much easier.

Fair enough. They’d also deny themselves the vaccine.

DNA details won’t be obtained but dare say they could be. Wouldn’t worry me TBH.

It’ll never happen, as It’s an infringement of your civil Liberty.

I’m no conspiracy theorist but what’s to stop your DNA being planted at a crime scene when there’s a sample of it somewhere? Or someone who committed said crime saying their sample was planted?

    Not worried personally.

The police use it now when investigating a crime I believe ?

But apart from crime what about all the other uses ?

Identifying unidentified people after a disaster, loss of memory, injured, abandoned kids, etc etc checking your kids to see who there dad is ? :)

If someone was that determined they could plant a sample of your hair or whatever at a crime scene.

Are DNA samples actually stored BTW? Assumed they were processed and the information stored in a database rather than the physical samples, though could well be wrong.

The perceived “good” of it will be outweighed by the naysayers regardless, that’s all I was saying.

If we (ie the govt)can’t get a track and trace/testing for a global pandemic right what hope have we got of them getting a DNA bank correct?!

I understand that, however a hair sample wouldn’t necessarily be enough to finger your for something as it could have travelled easily enough to the scene.

The civil Liberty side of it (rightly or wrongly) will nix it anyway.

Perhaps when they have injected nano trackers into us as part of the Covid vaccine it won’t matter anyway, they’ll have a trace of you at the crime scene......*

    *this is a joke**

DNA from a hair could be multiplied and planted in another form...

But could also be collared by DNA analysis of close relatives.

Charlie Cairoli and his clowns collective can't even do track and trace properly, I think we can rest easy in our beds.

If you could identify a person's pre-disposition to certain deseases, then I'm sure insurance companies would be very interested in that information.
