Cheapest place to get second hand vehicle checks

I'm only spending 2k and really the only thing I want to check is has it been written off.

    Thanks

MyCarCheck is around £5 for the basics.

Apparently there’s a hack on AutoTrader where you draft ‘write an advert’ using your target reg number, the system will autofill Cat C/D. Never tried it but maybe worth a go if you have a few to check.

Just tried the autotrader hack. Our Panda, which is a Cat C did display as such, the car I'm looking at displayed nothing. So tell me Jeremy, are you feeling lucky?

Thanks for the tips though, a fiver much better than HPI's £20 so will probably 'invest'.

    Cheers

    Jeremy
