Seems like an older Cellini. 17 or 19 jewel hand wind movement, cal. 1600. Should be a white gold case, about 31mm. Can't add much more.
A friend of mine recently lost her parents and came across this which was her late father's.
Does anyone have a clue what it is?
Not even sure it's legit, hopefully some the vintage chaps might be able to shed some light.
Thanks in advance

Going by the strap not something he wore much, does the watch look and feel what you might expect a Rolex to look and feel like, you can generally get that feel if correct or not.
Some better pics might help those that will know btw.
Case back does indeed look dodgy. There's some photos of the model I am thinking of here, including the movement: https://store.shopping.yahoo.co.jp/c...10/566566.html
...and the hands look wrong. A "bitsa" or worse, I suspect.
Rolex Cellini 3833 - likely mid-70s with a manual wind movement and very small by today’s standards. As above I’d question the hands but as the images as so blurry I won’t make a definitive call on them.

All looks very wrong to me.
Dial looks out of proportion, never seen hands like that on a Rolex, the case back is not right.
Pop the back of and see what you find, it will be enlightening.

Ben

Fake all the way IMHO. Can' t remember any Cellini with Breguet hands, and the case back is just so wrong.

I’m certain that’s a fake.
