    RIP Ray Clemence

Truly one of the world’s greatest keepers, LFC have announced his passing at the age of 72.

I started my LFC journey with my father in the main stand at the age of 12, c 1974.

Hughes, Toshack, Lee, Smith - every one a Legend.

I am proud that my son has inherited the passion, and is a member of the corporate hospitality team at Anfield.

Please share your LFC and Spurs golden moments from the ‘70’s and ‘80’s, and remember Ray Clemence in your thoughts.

I met Ray Clemence and another Goalkeeping legend in Peter Shilton, they opened our football ground as in their early years they both played for my local team, lovely fella, well they both were and stayed to do some drills with us

Super keeper for both Liverpool and Spurs.
Would’ve won many more England caps if he wasn’t up against Shilton at the same time .
    RIP keeps .

Such a shame and a shock, as when I saw him in Dubai in December everything was heading in the right direction and he was on the mend. Super bloke and great company gone too early

Lovely bloke, superb keeper. I was at Wembley when Bennett fluked that winner over his head for Coventry in 1987.

When I was 8, all I wanted to do was be a goalkeeper - my idols then were Ray Clemence and Pat Jennings. They were giants of the game.

    RIP Ray
