Upcycling project - New office clock.

I was a bit bored yesterday so I finally got round to a little project I have been meaning to do for a while, a old turntable platter ( from a knackered Sony 1210 clone ) a £5 quartz clock movement and hands from eBay, and a old slipmat. Turned out pretty well I think, I’ve got some sticky dots coming for the hour markers, which I may or may not use, it might look better as it is, I think it’s going to look good in my office. The good thing is I can easily swap the slipmat out for different ones, there are loads out there, or even a actual record.
    Cheers..

Looks great. Will the hands be open or will you cover them somehow?

Thank you, I guess open, if i try to find a dome the right size it will take away from the look, and a deck lid will be too big and look clunky I think.

I agree. Tbh I also think the sticky dots for the hours would break the aesthetic. Think it looks great as is

    Love it.

My DJ mates would buy one of those.

    Good little business there!

Thanks, its had a great response on the 'old skool ravers retirement home' Facebook page with loads of people wanting one, the problem is sourcing the platter, try finding affordable ones!

That's great, I do think you should put an LP on though.

Looks sweet, wouldn't bother with a dome. You could use something like stylus' for the markers, but I think it looks better without any marker
