How sad. RIP Nobby.

How sad. RIP Nobby.
Met him. Paid a memorable visit to our junior school in the late 1960s, the day after playing in a mid-weeker for United. A hero to us kids. Shook everybody’s hand. A small, warm, quiet man. Fantastic achievements: member of the only England side to win the World Cup in 1966 and first English side to win the European Cup in 1968.

RIP Nobby.
Watched a documentary on 'Alfies Boys' recently and Alan Ball and Nobby's lads were sharing anecdotes, the program was brilliant.
Glad to say I watched Utd during the title winning season 66/67.....a legend and local lad
RIP Nobby, thanks for '66 and your skills.
Terribly sad.
A member of the greatest England side ever.
Probably only Roger Hunt, Sir Geoff Hurst and Sir Bobby still alive from that team.
RIP Nobby.
Cheers,
Neil.
