My friends U-boat automatic has died , wont rotor wind or hand wind & he loves the watch so is obviously looking to get it fixed.
As far as I can gather its a standard swiss eta movement with a U-boat branded rotor.
He's just text to say he's had a quote of nearly £500.00 for fix & service which seems very steep to my mind , Don't know which company gave him the quote.
I told him to try Genesis in Brampton which is close by to Carlisle where we live but he said they were uninterested.
Can anyone on the forum help him out with a fix or point him in the right direction to get it fixed ?
He'd really appreciate any help.
