Did he die because of Covid or was he another statistic that died of natural causes but happened to have Covid at the time?
Just heard this news
76 and tested positive for Covid
Met him on a petrol forecourt once - he was cool and gave his autograph

^^^^ Disgraceful. I liked Cannon & Ball as a double act. Bobby always had that mischievous look. RIP Bobby.
I'd love to think his last words were "I'm piggin' sick, Tommy".
RIP.
Very sad to hear of his passing. RIP Bobby.
" OOO, I could crush a grape ".
RIP Bobby, a true entertainer. I loved him in Mount Pleasant in recent years too.
RIP Bobby, I remember "Cannon and Ball" and also when you made a few appearances in "Last of the Summer Wine."
Apologies if I have offended anyone here. I genuinely was just asking if he died of COVID or if it was something else. It wasn’t meant to be political.

Sad news, no age really.
RIP Bobby!
Cheers,
Neil.
Yes very sad to hear this on the news.
From a great era for comedy; RIP
R.I.P. Bobby a true entertainer in the best sense of the word ,no politics , no religion ,no bad language or sexual references to upset anyone .Yet could still have a full theatre audience in stitches.
In this day and age that's some achievement mate .
Loved him and Tommy made me roll back in the day, very funny man RIP Bobby
Sorry to hear this, enjoyed him as Lee’s dad in ‘Not Going Out’
My mum had a hotel in Great Yarmouth when i was a kid, it wasn’t far from a Theatre where Cannon and Ball were playing the summer season.
Me and my brother were round back of hotel when Bobby rolled up in his Rolls. Parked up and came over to us as my brother had all his fishing gear out and was practicing casting. Bobby had a go and chatted to us for a while.
Unfortunately my mum came roaring out and roasted him for parking in her private parking space, he apologised and moved his car sharpish!
Really nice guy. Rip.

I was really sad to hear that he'd died. I wasn't actually a fan, never watched their TV show or other appearances. Always thought of it as working class comedy, not aimed at me. But I'd heard them both interviewed on 5 Live a couple of times in recent months and they came across as so humble, gracious and good-natured.
