Trying to do the above as I know it can be done - I’m bloody useless trying to keep up with you tube videos
Does anybody have a step by step guide or signpost me please?
Some apps aren’t avail on Amazon store so need to be added as above by adding google play store?
    Thanks

But it can be done, I've done it on my Fire 10 and 8. Depends on what model you have and what firmware it has. Sadly I can't venture much assistance, as its been a year since I've needed to do it and methods will undoubtedly have changed.

I did it recently when I had a Fire 10 tablet. It takes 10 minutes.

I followed the recent ETAPrime guide on youtube: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=gg1Q...annel=ETAPRIME

Had my new Fire 8 up and running in less than 15 minutes - super easy.

Got a fire 10HD when on offer a couple of weeks ago.
Went onto XDA and downloaded Fire toolbox v9.
It turns the Fire into a normal Android tablet and removes the special offers (adverts) easily along with other options to suit.
