Help to ID a vintage childs watch please.

At the moment all I have is a picture, and I'm trying to identify the cartoon cat or the make of watch. All help appreciated and will post any new info I get. Thanks

Started out with nothing. Still have most of it left.

The watch is a Ruhla, at least that is the logo on the dial.

One of a range of Ruhla "wackelaugen" (waggle eyes) watches. I don't think the cat has a name.

Thank you I wasn't sure what the makers logo was. Have now found others online.

    Are these repairable at all.

We'd be happy to take a look inside and give you a free estimate.

Its potentially "Felix the Cat" . 1920s era cartoon character . Felix went through a few design changes , however this might be a "knock off" rendering of a similar character to cash in. Copyright was a bit of an undiscovered country back then. Its possible it might be a European knock off of the same character . i seem to recall some German/European "copy cat" characters happening in pre-Nazi era Germany.

Nice to dust off my animation degree occasionally , many thanks.

Thanks James, it's good of you to offer, it's for a friend on another forum. Not sure if he will be willing to pay the kind of money repairs can cost, although it was his childhood watch so he might. Will forward your website details. Thanks.

Exact same watch on eBay, could use it as a donor if that would be acceptable.
