    Iwc le petit prince chrono

    Hi all
Ive been thinking out getting an iwc le petit prince chrono
A used one so the price is more sensible
I have had a 40mm before it was the mark vii heritage and found it to small
My question is how big and tall does the chrono wear
For example i have a black bay bronze 43mm would it wear similar
    Your comments please
Wrist size is about 7 inches

I have a similar wrist size with a very rectangular (in cross section) wrist shape. 42mm is the sweet spot for me. Here are a couple of pictures of my Spitfire chrono

I've got an 18cm (just over 7") wrist and find it wears pretty well as far as lug-to-lug and width goes.

Height, on the other hand, is the main issue I have with this watch - it's pretty tall on the wrist and I certainly found to start with that I was clattering the side of the case against things, especially when reaching into cupboards or drawers. I've put a little dent into the case which is just visible just before the 9 o'clock position - look closely in the on-wrist shot. The highly polished surround around the crystal does pick up the odd mark too, but it's not the end of the world.

After wearing for a while, I did get used to the height, but it definitely doesn't blend in the same way as lower profile watches.

Lume is OK, but not amazing, only the hands and 12, 3, 6, 9 indexes are marked.

That said, this is an absolutely gorgeous watch.

I have a 6.75' wrist. The 43mm was just OK for me, as the lugs on the IWC pilots are pretty long (even for the sub 40mm classic pilots they stretch towards 50). Height on the other hand was an issue, I think most pilot Chronos are in excess of 15mm, which sits very tall on the wrist, hence I flipped the watch within 1 month of buying (second hand). The secondary market for IWC chronos are pretty attractive though.

If 40mm was too small then chances are it will be fine, but really, don't buy without trying it on. One mans meat is another mans poison, as they say.
