    Watchit! watch fair cancelled/postponed

Although I am sure those who had signed up for this will have got an email about it, the watchit! Watch fair has unsurprisingly been called off. Sounds like they are going to reschedule at some point, but are not committing to a particular date until the wider Covid situation is clearer.

    Thread Resurrection!

Seems Watchit is happening this year on Feb 18th

Just wondered if any Forumites were planning to attend?

By pure coincidence I was going to be in the area anyway to meet a friend, so I have signed up for the fair too.

I’ll be there from 1pm ish tomorrow for those popping in.

We really need some sort of TZ lapel pin to identify each other.

I was there for all of 45 minutes. I went around several times and enjoyed what I saw! Think I can see me picking up an Alkin in the near future, and maybe another Farer.

    Watchit! watch fair cancelled/postponed

I spent a couple of hours there today and had a good chat with some of the brands. I think Farer are doing some very nice watches and use colour incredibly well. Prestex have adopted the cushion case as their key design theme and had some super fume dials in various colours. Escudo had a range of retro diver watches including a lovely steel and bronze version. Studio underdog had a range of chronographs in wacky colours (water melon, anyone?) using the Seagull/Venus 175 movement.
Finally the two 20 year old lads who have established BVOR watches centred around a television style case really deserve to do well.

The big takeaways for me were real enthusiasm from those there but also a belief in colour and fun, something the big established brands don’t necessarily always consider.
