I'm all for cool designs and being a little bit "out there" but what is the time?

I always struggle to see the time when I see photos of Richard Mille watches.
Only a guess, but 7 o'clock or very close to it.
Just going by the yellow/green tube around the skull...
Cheers,
Adam.
I'm not even sure whether it's a skull or a lightbulb.
I thought so too, but then there's the inconsistent spacing between the 5-7 and all the other numbers. 6 is therefore differently marked, I'd assume?
Just watched a few videos on this watch, and not a single one describes how to use it; all just use rapidly rotating close-up shots and music...
As with those "Joker" watches - 'tis the stuff of edgy teens, notwithstanding that they have no interest, much less the budget, for such cheesy gewgaws.
In the HYT SKULL Green Eye, HYT flaunts their mastery over hydro mechanical complications. Less than 1mm in diameter, the patented borosilicate glass capillary tube is carefully bent around the dial's brash skull.
Inside this harrowingly curved capillary display, one of a pair of bellows pushes green liquid from 6 o'clock around the skull to mark the passage of the day. Once the display is filled, the other bellows pushes clear liquid into the capillary display - the visual and liquid counterpart to a retrograde hand.
This poetic complication serves as a complement to classic technical precision, with a hand-wound 35 jewel exclusive hand-beveled movement adorned with Côtes de Genève. The functional dual rhodium-plated pistons that make up the skull's jaw complete the display.

No, I'm with the OP on this one...

It’s a curiosity piece as far as I’m concerned. Not particularly legible, practical or stylish but an interesting novelty. As with the OPs statement, at least it’s relatively original.
I’d never buy one, even if I could afford it though!
A bigger convocation of grumblers I haven’t seen in quite some time. This thing mightn’t be to your taste - it isn’t to mine - but it is both legible and interesting. Novelty doesn’t have to be your enemy. I wish more makers were doing more of this sort of thing.
It’s their new take on a modern pilots watch, it has to have a clear view of the time under all circumstances....
Got a new watch, divers watch it is, had to drown the bastard to get it!
A waste of some clever people’s time I think.
I like it, when I first opened the thread I thought that’s a bit different and looks well made I wonder how much it is, if it’s <£500 I could be tempted
Seems I won’t be getting one.
