Mido Ocean Star Tribute or Squale 60 ATMOS Squalematic Blue

    Hi guys,
I would like to add a new piece to my collection and I really don't know yet which will be the winner. I'm talking about only of these 2 watches:

    Squale

    vs. Mido.

Even though the mechanism of Mido seems to be better than the classic ETA from Squale, the look of Squale is absolutely gorgeous. So I cannot decide which one should buy.

What would be your opinions on this?

    Thanks!

Buy the one that you think is "absolutely gorgeous".

Depends on what you're after, the Squale has a polished finish and sunburst dial, it will "pop" and stand out more than the Mido, which looks to be all matte. I personally prefer the latter, but YMMW. I'd be wary of the dimensions of the Mido though, it's both thicker and less wide than the Squale, seems like it might feel a bit "top heavy".

If you're a fan of strap changes, the squale is the one to go for. The mido is 21mm, which as I'm finding with a recent pickup can be a pain!

No one does that sort of blue like squale, I adore mine.

It's a heavy decision... on the one hand the Squale screams SUMMER through all pores and it's joyful and stands out... on the other hand I like the fact that Mido it's a little more subtle but still summer-ish

The Squale looks the more vivacious of the two, whereas the Mido has a classier, understated look to it. Shouty, energetic blue or quieter, calmer teal? I’d go with the Mido.

For me personally it would be the Mido.
But it sounds like the one for you is the Squale.

The Squale is a big, thick watch but, if your wrist is big enough, I'd get it. Quality is excellent and their blue sunburst dial is as nice an any out there.

My wrist is big enough (this is my Gravitymaster on my wrist)

Normally I would go for Mido without any second thought, but there is something special in the Squale, even though is shiny and stands out too much. Hence my dilemma...

Looks fantastic! Congratulations! If my wrist had been big enough I would have bought one already.
