If they damaged them without doubt.
If you were to send a watch for service by the manufacturer's service centre via a UK AD would you expect them to replace any case back screws that were in poor condition? Or, is it acceptable for them to refit the originals? Waiting for opinions before I call and tackle the AD, thanks
If they damaged them without doubt.
If they are no longer fit for purpose, then absolutely yes. What conditions were the screws in?

If the screws were inadequate, do you mean replace them FOC or replace them and charge for them accordingly?
I would definitely expect such a small item to be replaced FoC. Maybe they ruined them putting it back on and hoped you wouldn’t notice as it will be a pain to unscrew them if they’re shagged?
I’d have a word with the AD and see what they say. What brand is it?
All this talk of STDs and chewed heads.... I thought I’d strayed into the bear pit for a moment
Would this be a new battery in an Aerospace by any chance? Just asking, because I know someone this happened to. The Ti screws are soft and will mark easily. To my mind they should be single use only for BUK, but apparently not.
If SS, then yes, I agree they should be replaced FOC. If in precious metal, then I have always been charged.
Chewed heads should not be left in as each time you have to unscrew or screw them, they get worse. The danger is that they get so worn, they cannot be removed with a screwdriver anymore.

Update: Just taken the watch back to the AD who is returning it to Chanel and will be putting a big flea in their ear.
