    Cracking Baby Dreadnought review

Whole chunks of my life come under the heading "it seemed like a good idea at the time".

Indeed an excellent review. Actually, I never wanted one until today ;)

The watch is even better than the review.

Yes he's definitely a big fan.

2020 seems to be a very good year for the appreciation of all things TF, which is great news for Eddie.

Though I think it's going to prove challenging for me to bag my brace when Eddie next opens..

'It was, in essence, a dive watch of the people, by the people, and for the people.'

    What a great quote.

Be useful to have some quotes on your site somewhere, Eddie. Especially if they might show up as a snippet on Google.

Not that you need extra business right now.

That's a pretty good review. The more I look at the Baby DN, the more I like it. I don't like the Ploprof handset, but I seem to be warming to the effect here.

"Dreadnought-cool is the authenticity you get when some salty British Army vet goes, “Oy, I wonder if I can make a totally badass watch for the **** of it based off what me mates want” and it ends up being so stupidly-awesome that guys around the world build internet shrines for it. "

I love that quote too, although just “Dreadnought cool” would suffice for me!

I have to agree with everything he’s written to be honest. Since I got mine a couple of months ago, I’ve worn it most days. It’s a simply brilliant watch.

Very good review and interesting to read the reviewers thoughts on the bracelet, as similarly I prefer a NATO strap, however I've kept this bracelet in place as its very comfy to wear and just seems to be as one with the watch.

I was going between this and the Baby Speedbird. I’m glad I went for the Speedbird but now I’m feeling I would like both. Time for a clear out to make some funds available.

Excellent review. Slightly regretting buying an Air Ministry a month before they were released. Much as I like the AM I can't help thinking that I would like the baby Dreadnaught more. Probably a case of grass being greener etc.

“Oy, I wonder if I can make a totally badass watch for the **** of it based off what me mates want”

Reading that made me chuckle. To me it sounds like Dick Van Dyke does cheeky cockney accent which is probably as far removed from how Eddie sounds as you can get.

Why don't you trade the one for the other?

Absolutely. On paper the AM is a superior proposition to the Dreadnought.

Cracking review Eddie - I’ve not yet tried any of your Dreadnoughts but this one looks spot-on to go with my Precistas.

I have considered it and decided against it for the time being, I could write some waffle about why not but it boils down to me being a bit of a hoarder and not very good at getting rid of things.

Perhaps I ought to learn to let things go and become a flipper.

Have the Baby Dreadnought and until recently a PRS-29a and of the two I much prefer the Dread to wear, though I doubt it will hold its value anywhere near as well as the Smiths, which is a shame if the case as its such a nice and somewhat unique watch.
