Not sure whether to laugh or cry at this one!
Certainly not going to be how any of my watches get used!

Finally, the internet has worked out what analogue watches are for!
That certainly saves folk from the nightmare scenario of having to adjust the system settings!

They are of course for telling the time, for those who prefer to do it the old fashioned way, but they have a secondary purpose as a signalling tool like any item of clothing / jewellery, they allow the wearer to project an image eg very smart, wealthy, successful, a hippy, a rugged outdoors type, a ‘crazy’ guy (corum bubble wearers, I’m looking at you!).
But in all seriousness I think those are really the two reasons anyone wears a watch? They allow some degree of expression of the individual, at least of how they want to be perceived.
Same for shoes, clothes, cars etc, I guess.
Yep, social expression.
It's fun! Who doesn't like reading and discussing on forums with like minded people.
Same with cars, clothes, fountain pens, mechanical keyboards.
There's utility in this too. It makes you feel good, the amazing engineering to be able to own and admire.
We all work hard, and watches are a great way to express ourselves.
