    I found the commentary a bit "stream of consciousness"...

    The Oyster bracelet on the Everest is from a real Rolex of the period but it doesn't fit properly between the lugs.

    The commentary was a little flowery but it highlighted a few things for me.

    1 - how closely the Everest resembles the 1016

    2 - how much the Explorer has changed over the years

    3 - that I actually much prefer the Everest to the Explorer!

    I also prefer the older models with printed dials although I think that modern one is one of the nicer of the modern Rolex offerings.

    The lack of AR coating on the Explorer's crystal would drive me crazy. In the side-by-side shots, you can see how much clearer the dial on the Everest is from most angles.
