Would anyone have any views and opinions, and maybe some pics of a 36mm Everest on a 7.75bhp wrist (or similar)
I do think I’m growing tired of bashing my larger watches on things and struggling to wear them under sleeves!
I read a comment earlier about the black 36mm Everest and the Explorer being the only 2 watches you would need and it’s got me thinking...

It just sounds so small compared to my current sized watches, I also have a Marathon JSAR which is stuck over in Australia but I found that slightly too big!
I’ve an old dive watch upstairs I was given for my 21st many moons ago which is probably around 36mm, I’ll have to measure it. When I put it on it is small but looks ‘ok’
I had a PRS-18 which I know is bigger than the 36mm Everest but did find that a nice size.
Off upstairs to find/wear my old diver...

I can't stand wrist shots, they are so misleading. My wrist is a smidge over 7" and I veer between smaller watches ( early 80s issued Precista and CWC G10s, 1984 Datejust, 36mm Everest), to larger at 40mm (Damasko DC56 and DA37), to larger again at 42mm (Dreadnought Voyager, Archimede Deck Watch) They all have different lug to lug lengths and profiles and wear quite differently. Watches are for personal enjoyment, so wear what you like and damn the torpedoes!

I don't think I have large wrists, 7.5 inch. I've a seiko 5 and a an Everest Exp at 36mm and I find them a little small.
I have to agree, the dimensions of a watch can make all the difference even if they have the same case size.
Two examples, my Oris 65 40mm next to my Omega Seamaster 41mm next to my Steinhart OV GMT 42mm, due to their sizes (dial & LTL) the Oris & the Steinhart visually look the same size with the Omega looking the smallest of the three.
My Smiths Everest PRS25 36mm next to my Smiths Empire 34mm, both on an oyster style bracelet, visually look exactly the same size on and off the wrist.
My wrist size is pretty average at 7.25 inches I would think, but yes, just wear what you like and it is just a watch at the end of the day.

Coming from a larger watch, the PRS-25 appears smallish for a day or so. After that it just seems "right" and wears extremely well on the bracelet. It always makes me appreciate how comfortable this classic size is for everyday wear.
I have flat 7.5 inch wrists. The original 40mm Everest was my daily wear for around seven years.
When I bought the first generation 36mm version, I thought, 'Oh blimey, it's too small'. After a day or so, however, it looked absolutely right. For me, it transitions comfortably between casual/semi formal.
I love swapping from 45mm to 36mm and back again on a 7½ wrist. I wouldn't have said that 10 years ago.

I wouldn’t go any smaller than my 39mm MKii Vantage and also enjoy swapping between my 47mm and 39mm pieces. My wrist is 8.5 inches and I would see 36mm as terribly dainty.
My wrist is the same size and I don't think my 36mm 1016 looks dainty.

Sounds cheap to us but was probably still out of most people’s reach still
Average wage was around £17 pw, so maybe equivalent to the price of a Tudor BB or similar these days?

36mm 1970 OP on my 7.5” wrist, small but looks alright I think. Don’t think I’d go any smaller personally. I would imagine this case is fairly similar in profile to the 36mm Everest.
Excuse the wonky end link I think it was just because the bracelet was too tight.

In the early 90's I bought a second hand 1016 on bracelet. At the time I was using a midi (34mm)Tudor sub (with stick hands on bracelet). After 6 months I sold the 1016 because I felt that it didn't have enough wrist presence compared to the midi Tudor which actually had a smaller dial than the 1016.
I found the 1016 quite boring and the 18.000 beat-rate seconds lazy.
Anyway that was then.

That's the reason why it is worth a small fortune nowadays: not a lot of people loved the watch back then
