Never seen the salmon one before that’s cool

This is a watch I have had my eye on for a number of years and after picking up the rare stainless steel salmon/copper dialled Carrera it made me search harder.
I spotted this one recently but the only way to justify the purchase was to sell my beautiful Rolex 1007.
This arrived yesterday and I have just had a chance to photograph it this morning.
Its a stunning example that was originally sold in 1999 and the 36mm size is absolutely perfect. Easier to let the pictures do the talking.
Initially I was going to sell the CS3112 as I didn't think I needed 2 Heuer chronographs, but seeing them next to each other I think they have enough differences to warrant keeping both..... for now.

Great pick-up - congratulations.
Wonderful watch. I can imagine it even better with red numbers instead of this light blue.
That gold one is stunning, great pick up, please give it to me.
I love these Heuers! Well done tracking these unicorns down. Wrist shots please!

Both of them are great but the salmon dial is especially stunning. Congrats and wear is good health!

That is top class; two quite unusual implementations of the re-edition and both lovely. I particularly like the anachronism of the fine gold case for a sports timer watch. You must be over the moon with this.
They are both classically beautiful, but especially the copper dial. I’ve always loved the 1964 re-editions

Hats off to you, they are both absolute stunners. I have a real love of these Heuers, and I have never come across that salmon dial before. There’s so much Rolex on this Forum (I’m guilty too), so It’s lovely to see watches like these popping up once in a while.

Two absolutely exquisite watches. Definitely one of the handsomest chronographs of the era I think, and lovely to see a model that is a bit less common in the wild. (Lucky you to have found two such perfect examples.) Congratulations on a beautiful acquisition and wear it in good health!

congratulation ,
i also habe this cs3140 , really nice re edtion
Salmon dial is also cool
Thanks for the comments folks. Got a few jobs to do this morning but then going to wear it this afternoon and give it some wrist time. I’ll post some more pictures later.
Lovely duo. I’ve always thought the gold TAG reissues represented good value in the used market. Always fancied a gold monza, but don’t think I have the wrist to pull it off
I’ve done something similar, but went for a vintage 3647s to go with my copper.

That is a great pairing @carryondentist
Some asked about a wrist shot. So as not to disappoint I captured this in the Sunday morning sunshine.
That is a classic and a beauty!!! Congrats on a great addition.
Really nice looking watch. Would be a great dress watch or daily piece.
Looking lovely. And both look excellent examples. Thank you so much for sharing. Martyn
That is beautiful. I have never seen that one before. I have always liked gold and leather straps. Congrats!

These are brilliant. Love the smaller sizing. Really complementary to the beautiful colours.
For sure keep both for as long as you want.
