    The Third Day (no spoilers)

Anyone else completely blown away by this series, and am I the only one who watched the full 12-hour livestream between parts one and two of the series? Jude Law deserves to win something for his role in this... superb acting. I was also amazed to discover that Osea is a real place, by the way, and as in the series its only accessible by a Roman causeway when the tide allows. (Well, they do have a river taxi too, apparently.)

If you didn't catch the livestream (The Third day: Autumn) - a totally unique and almost experimental piece of television that's very hard to describe save to say that it provided lots of background to life and beliefs on Osea, as well as some very direct insight into Sam's experiences there - try to find it on catch-up or something. It's worth watching for a number of reasons.

    Edited, to add: Thanks, @beechcustom...

    Livestream:
First five and a half hours
Remaining six and a half hours

We gave it a go, mainly because Osea Island isn't far from here.
I have been round it a few times on my jetski.

However, I just couldn't get on with it. We gave up part way through the second episode.

Loved the first 3 episodes. Recorded part of the Autumn livestream but yet to watch.

The livestream was horrific in parts and was compelling viewing. I ended up watching it over the course of a few days, and was glad I made the effort.

Watched episode 4 last night, with the added attraction of the lovely Naomie Harris.

Looking forward to episode 4. Last 10 mins of episode 2 were some of the best television I've ever seen. Brilliant.

I think this is the Autumn live stream. It's just over 6.5 hrs so may have been edited down. https://www.facebook.com/watch/live/...atch_permalink

Yes, the first part is missing, and it's quite important - I'd try to find it before watching this, if you can. That said, this recording would give you pretty much the full picture, just missing the very clever build-up and a couple of key elements.

Don't know anything about Third Day - do you need to watch the livestreams as well as the episodes?

No, but they add a huge amount of context.

    It sure is!

Sorry - just did a skip through and no idea what's going on. Maybe because I don't have sky telly I don't know what this is all about anyway?

I am sure it makes sense at some level and the cinematography is superb.

Slow burn is an understatement. I'm nearly 1 hr in and so far a fat bloke has eaten a sandwich in a trailer being pulled by a 1994 model year Land Rover Discovery.

Meaningless without watching the first part of the series.

Well, you can always FF through the bits where you've worked out what's going on and nothing's changing. However, it's probably fair to say that the more you stick with it, the more rewarding it becomes

I was being facetious. I'm totally on board with it. Will be watching it later in a few sittings. Btw have you seen 'Midsommer'?

Can you watch the livestreams without watching the episodes? Or is there no point?

No point at all, unless you have 12 hours to kill and you have nothing else to do. It’s basically a single camera that whole time although it’s quite cinematic with a moody “soundtrack” (of sorts).

Understood, thanks. I don't have Sky hence the question.
