Best place to sell a top end Rolex?

One of my friends has a Rolex 228206 and asked me where to sell it due to price and security around that but it’s way out of my league so wouldn’t mind some ideas guys??
Can’t sell it here as it’s not mine before anyone says that and I wouldn’t want that much watch in my possession for any amount of time😬😬😬
It makes me a little stressed when I drop a few thousand on a watch so I can’t imagine what £40k plus is like🤪🤢

    Cheers in advance!
    Chris

Probably best to sell it though a good dealer on commission, platinum is a niche watch and a good dealer will have contacts, notice how I said "good dealer" twice, that's the key..

I can't see the watch getting anywhere near £40k. For that money you could buy a Patek perpetual calendar which is a much better buy.

List price for that watch with a plain dial is £50,750.

To my mind it is a "London watch," very difficult to move in areas where the rich-and-stupid are less densely packed.

Of course, a faceless and untraceable Instagram clown flashing it on his tattooed arm while sitting at the wheel of a drug-dealer mate's Mercedes AMG would probably have it sold for an unchecked pile of cash faster than one might say "VAT return" or "HVD registration."

I don't think the OP wants your opinion on valuation, just asking where would be a good place to sell.
Started out with nothing. Still have most of it left.

Fair enough I suppose but it is wildly optimistic.

Watchfinder have one for sale for £43,950 so they might buy it, but obviously at a lot less than that. Depends how quickly he wants to move it on. The plus point is they are a business and not likely to rob you, apart from in the trade price sense of course.

    Thanks guys!!

Another friend has got a dealer up to £38,500 already and I’ve had a few ideas passed on by PM which I’ve forwarded to the guy👍👍👍
Cheers guys but Platinum and Rolex is not really my thing plus it being more expensive than my car doesn’t help😂😂👍
