Not your normal timepiece... new arrival!

I acquired this yesterday which I have been after for a while, manual wind with stopwatch.
    Any guesses what it’s from....

I'd like to think it's from a Tupolev Bear, but I'm just happy that it exists - it's great!

The Mig 15 was one of the first Airix kits I made as a kid, and I've always had a soft-spot for them!

Pretty sure you're right - seem to be several of this pattern in different stations, inc. copilot, flight engineer, radar ops etc.

    E.g.

Certainly looks very similar, tho' I couldn't find a single really clear image. The same pattern of clock does also appear in assorted transport and civilian aircraft of the 1950s and 60s, and it's understandable that a common unit would be used. Fighters and FBs of the era seem to use much smaller cockpit clocks, for obvious reasons.

If nothing else, the Tu-95 had at least 4 per aircraft, and they built >500 of 'em, so seems stand-out likeliest.

It’s from an Mi-17, looks like they were fitted in lots of different aircraft! Good detective work!

Try a Google search for 'CLOCK ACHS-1' and you'll get quite a few hits. Those from worthpoint.com have some background info, eg this link.
