    ETA 2893 GMT hand alignment

I'm guessing there's no way of altering the alignment and this is just poor QC?

I've experienced this in the past. It was resolved by a local watchmaker removing the movement from the case and refitting the hands such that they aligned as intended. Cost me about £30 at the time. This assumes that the hands will remain aligned during use....

Looks like the hands will have to come off.

    Is it a 'hand' problem?

I had a Steinhart GMT (bought new from Chronomaster) which had perfect alignment of the 24hr hand out of the box, but the hand developed 'lazyitis' over a few months. I never investigated it, but now wonder if it's a (perhaps fairly common) drivetrain issue with the movement, rather than a misaligned handset.

This is brand new, although some eventual slip wouldn't surprise me.

I think its is quite a common problem with the movement, My Father has a Fortis GMT with the exact same issue and I remember seeing pictures of some Voyagers suffering from the same. As has been said the only way to resolve is to take the hands off and reset them.
