    Graham Chronofighter vintage

Finding myself strangely interested in this Graham Chronofighter and at nearly 2k off list I feel its a good price.
I know theses are not everyone's cup of tea but surely at that price I wouldn't be taking too much on a bath at that price?

Had one. Hated it. Definitely an Acquired taste. Glad to say my tastes have drastically changed.

Surely if you ever wanted to sell it you'd have to find a minimum of one person willing to buy it? Or is that the point of this thread?

Personally I like Graham watches but can’t get over the crown system on these. I’ve had a Silverstone and a Swordfish and can state that the build quality of their watches is a lot better than some of the more popular makers on here. The designs aren’t exactly safe though so resale will always be an issue. Finding someone else that appreciates the design could take a while and if you end up having to resort to the trade you would, even at £2k off list, probably still lose half of your investment.

It's more of thoughts on quality, value for the 2k plus price as opposed to other brands.

Yeeeeaaahh I don't think so listen to Foxy he's on the money. You have to admit that thing looks like an old school lighter from back in the day.

I had a Silverstone, too, just like 22Danstone above, and like them, I found it to be a well-made watch, if nothing exceptional. I've always liked the shape of the Chronofighters, especially the nose-art models, and if one came up for £2k, I'd have a hard think. Just for the paintings of the pretty ladies, really!

At £2250, you'll take a hit when you sell, but do you want to try it out? Might be worth your time!

This is WAY out there in the Only Buy It If You Plan To Be Buried In It zone, because it will bareback rape your wallet and spit on its crying body.

With this clarified, may I suggest you go and actually look-at and handle an example of said untameable bad-boy, so you can be 110% certain you wish to form a lasting union with it.

Contrary to the oldtimey homespun wisdom of those noted sages, the Butthole Surfers, it is not always better to regret something you have done...

100% this!! I ha never bought a watch to sell it, I have bought a watch to wear it, if you are not a serial flipper, then take the discount and be happy that you have a deal.
If you want to sell watches, then buy Rolexes at RRP

In the cold light of day I think I will give it a miss!
Note to self, do not look at watches whilst having a few beers!

I struggle with watches that have all sorts of guff around the winder - not for me.
