Thread: Dremel Workstation (drill press) and MotoSaw (scroll saw)

Dremel Workstation (drill press) and MotoSaw (scroll saw)

I don’t have a space, workshop, garage or bench sufficient for specialist tools although I would like to have. I can create a bit of space in the shed to put up my Workmate. Does anybody have any experience of the Dremel Workstation and MotoSaw for light duty and compactness for ease of storage? Okay compromises or junk? Seem expensive for what they are. Need to prepare for an autumn and winter of COVID-19 pastimes, projects and hobbies. Suits have been hung up since Easter and I don’t see much demand for my services and talents in the near future.

It’s good stuff, looks expensive if you already have bits and pieces, if not it’s not bad value, I have over the bench on a hanger With a flex drive, it gets used often, for all sorts of things, I also have an original American Dremel that I have had for about 25 years, much better than the new ones. One thing to avoid is anything with a gear box to change direction, sooner or later it will self destruct.

Thanks for the feedback. Already have the Dremel and bits. Recently had to replace 20-30 year old USA made Dremel, unfortunately the speed control wouldn’t stay in place, so as I was using it it, the speed just went all over the place. Maybe I should have tried to get it fixed as quite attached to it. Too late now.
