Not London or Surrey but try Brendan, webwatchmaker of these parts.
Hi all,
My AMVOX 2 is playing up and the chornograph seconds hand and discs are not resetting to zero correctly.
JLC is quoting me £750 for a service which is not unreasonable but they think it might take 3 months as their U.K. boutique watch maker is not qualified to work on the AMVOX 2.
Does any body know of a watch maker who might be able to work on the AMVOX 2 located in London or Surrey? I don’t fancy sending my watch away for that long!
Many thanks,
Chi Kai

I think the problem with newer JLC’s might the availability of parts. I am interested in seeing how this thread develops.
Whoever does not know how to hit the nail on the head should be asked not to hit it at all.

Thanks all! Will contact them to see if they think they can fix an AMVOX 2.
Hoping no new parts are needed!

I was in a similar dilemma with a Dualmatic. Had to send it to JLC, as no independent watch repairer would entertain servicing my watch / match JLC’s price

Hi all,
Just an update. Spoke with a few watchmakers and their responses are similar. “Would love to work on this watch and have the right skills. But no access to spare parts.”
As such, am taking the watch to JLC this Friday.
Many thanks for everyone’s contributions.

It's not really spare parts that are an issue with the AMVOX. The construction of the chronograph reset uses a pre-tensed hairspring which requires a very special JleC tool to reset. Only JleC can repair it. Sent from my SM-A105FN using TZ-UK mobile app
