    Maxi dial Sub

Slim chance of obtaining the new LV so I played about with inserts today.
Amazing the difference a bezel can make.
I have a new watch now!

Looks fine - but the original LV is still my favourite of all watches ever.

I genuinely ache when I think about me trying on but passing on it when new, for £2650, as I just couldn’t imagine spending that much on a watch!

It’s probably one of the few true regrets I have.
(Daft, I know, but true) and now I can never own one, purely because of the principle of me paying so much for something I could have had so much cheaper.
    Again, daft.

Enjoy wearing it either way, bud.

    Doh!
I should have put the pics the other way round.
    It’s an original LV.
Yep, £2650 is what I paid for my first LV.

Looks good. I changed the insert rather than get a second bezel. I assume it makes changing easier?

I wish I did this when I had an LV rather than selling it.

Never really liked the Mk1 green bezel, as it didn’t go with anything, but the 5-digit case and maxi dial is really the sweet spot of the entire back catalogue.

I'd have loved to see a maxi dial Sub(no date) with the 5 digit case.

As long as you don’t pop the sapphire while removing the bezel.
    Ask me how I know.

I have one of my LV’s permanently set up with a black bezel insert, and the other one with the original green.
It's just a matter of time...

I tried my lv with a black bezel assembly but only lasted a day and then fitted the green assembly back on. I might try the black one again some time.

The 16610LV with a black bezel, is at least one expression of the perfect Sub... as far as my opinion is concerned, anyway.

Throw a modern Glidelock clasp on... now that would be a thing....
