Phone call to pick up a Rolex GMT 126711

Debating as it would go well with my other GMTs, I tried the all gold and was a bit to much for my liking. However the TT does have some charm. Are there many owners on the forum?

I had one when they first came out. Absolutely beautiful watch and I’m actually hankering after another. Only sold mine as I needed the money at the time..if you can, go for it.

Why do you guys insist on using part numbers to talk about watches?
Every time I see 132457K or 16601V I have to go looking for it.
Pictures and descriptions would be awesome for us non Rolex fanbois

It will be a gift from my wife so not sure why I am debating it in my head. I have always loved the TT in the TT in the GMT.

It’s my favourite 2 tone gmt, the colours work perfect on this watch. The gold steel and root beer colours are 👌🏼

I really like the TT GMT, unfortunately I don’t have one. Did you have to wait long?

No not long asked about it last week, while asking about wanting to view a new OP 2020 model.

Nice to know it doesn’t have a long wait. Looking forward to seeing pictures when you have it.

Lovely watch and next on my list - if you decide it’s not for you...

Congrats on the call and looking forward to the pics!

A mate has one and it really pops in sunlight; looks
Would I be correct in assuming the gold elements are plated steel and not solid?

I think this watch looks great on a Rubber strap, I don't love the two-tone. Check out the Everest or Rubber-B straps to put this on.

I have had mine since July 2018. My most worn watch.

Years ago the gold links used to be hollow, which over time lead to bracelet stretch. When the Ceramic versions came out Rolex moved to full solid gold links and that has helped solve that problem.

I tried one on at a Rolex event a couple of years ago. IMHO by far the best TT that Rolex make.

Lovely watch but... what conditions have the AD put in the 20,000 word wax sealed contract about not selling it on for fear of a lose your status letter from the mothership!

I thought the solid links came a long time before ceramic bezels Ken.

    I could be wrong though.

Beautiful, especially in the sun. I think the the warm gold makes it a great autumn watch!

It’s such a good looking watch. It might actually be my favourite current Rolex.

I remember going in Goldsmiths in 2010 to buy a TT Blue Sub and the Ceramic had just come out and the shop had both models, the old had hollow links and the new had solid links. The dial was nicer on the old, but I went for the new for those solid links.

I'm sure Haywood will know the exact date though...

Collected good old style, watch adjusted and the card filled and swiped. No removal of any stickers or anything with held and I came out with the warranty cards.

They also had a new 2020 sub non-date in store.

    Congratulations - photos?

Your overuse of spaces makes it hard to interpret your meaning - are you saying the AD retained the warranty card? Also, what's a "sun non date"?

    A spelling error obviously.

Yes apologies a spelling error on my part.

Here are some quick photos, as you can see all stickers in contact this is my 3rd watch where I have walked away to peel stickers off in my own time.

Beautiful watch I love the colour of the bezel against the rose gold. It is madness though with Rolex spending so much money on the watch yet how having to remove the protective stickers is seen as a good thing….

    Crazy Rolex world!
