Nice photo and washing line, but I do think the hyphen is redundant.

Quite right about the hyphen though.

On the washing line, I did wonder if flags instead of tea towels.

My guess is that the logic of using a hyphen is the same as when hyphenating T-shirt, but one is a noun, specifically for a shirt in the shape of a T whereas T minus makes more sense to leave the hyphen out as the T and the minus are two separate things.

Personally I'd leave it out... or put it in. I don't know anymore. Thread drift, isn't it wonderful?

I think the key thing is that we all understood what was being said. Surely thats the key part of a post.

Second point to raise is that Mr C is clearly a tease and attention craving member of the forum and has created this thread for us to talk about without giving a notion as to what is indeed T-Minus 4 days away.

One assumes something big is happening on Saturday.

Everton are playing, but I don't think it's that.

Come on guys, not too difficult to guess surely given Mr Cs previous activities - but I might be wrong and usually am.

It'll be the anniversary of Concordes first non-stop Atlantic flight on the 26th (1973)

Abbey road was also released on a 26th of September (1969)

I’m going to be so disappointed if this is a countdown to a new sports Rolex when there is already a perfectly good thread running.

I've very much enjoyed watching the responses and speculation here. I think that a few of you rumbled that it was just a shameless fundraiser promotion and nothing to do with Francis Drake or the first televised US Presidential debate.

Happy birthday to the younger snowperson, and of course it would always be a pleasure for BND's llama to visit mine.
