    Sunday afternoon documentary - prime

I'm fairly sure this this thread will drop to the bottom of the pile, however if you have 90 mins to spare then I can highly recommend watching "Time Remembered" on Amazon Prime. This is an independently produced documentary on the Jazz pianist Bill Evans. Bill Evans is a huge influence on the Jazz world, he played and (is a generally accepted) that he composed on the biggest selling album Miles Davis' A Kind of Blue. His playing was innovative then, is now, and there is a depth and beauty to all his recordings. He's certainly had a huge influence on my life and playing over the past 30 years.

Many thanks for the heads up, I’ll add that to my playlist.

If you have Netflix you might enjoy I Called Him Morgan, the fascinating story of Lee Morgan. As a pianist it might not appeal as much as Bill Evans but I found it compelling viewing.

    Cheers,
    Gary
