Brilliant, enjoyed watching what really is a work of art.
Actually, it is engineering. In terms of art... art people don't like kinetics (things that move) as in "kinetic art". Watches actually come under the category of "jewellery". Of course, today, even more so. We can no longer pretend that we wear watches to tell the time.
Time telling is just a Fig Leaf.
It only makes any sense when you just accept it as jewellery and deny any attempt at justification.
This is absolutely superb! Thanks for sharing.

I do use my watches to primarily tell the time as well as other things (such as timing events with chronographs, alarms for events etc). But I get what you mean- there are other ways to tell the time and the visual aspect of the watch matters tremendously.
However, they are not mutually exclusive.

Been thinking about my post above.
I have two quartz Grand Seikos unworn for a couple of months since their batteries expired and I have no inclination to revive them. I have other mechanicals, most untouched for well over a year. I have countless spare leather straps, many unworn.
Its clear that I have become bored with watches.
And if my post is a personal truth then, this should hardly come as a surprise.
How liberating.
Take Care.
