That looks like a very usable space, very nice
I’ve spent the last two days trying to fit my new toolbox in the garage, went a bit over the top
I’ve posted pics of our new house, but I didn’t have pics of the inside of the barn/workshop-to-be.
My youngest and I went to see the couple who’s selling the house to us. My youngest had not yet seen the spot where he’s going to live for the next two years before leaving for the university.
Tonight’s visit gave me the chance to make a quick pic of the inside of the former horse barn / workshop-to-be

Looks great - what are you planning to work on in there?
Nice one what a great workshop.
Mill, lathe, saws, belt grinders, workbenches, motorcycle area, etc etc
Seriously jealous of that!
Started out with nothing. Still have most of it left.
I would love I mean LOVE that amount of workspace.
Very envious!
Superb work/storage space.
When you look long into an abyss, the abyss looks long into you.........
Space is the ultimate luxury - especially in a workshop/garage/shed.
Very nice.
Now that's what I call a workshop!
Best Regards - Peter
I'd hate to be with you when you're on your own.
That's fantastic. I'd have to have a small picture of my wife on the wall in case I ever needed to remember what she looked like.
"A man of little significance"
What are you working on - a small aircraft? :)
It's fantastic! Looks like the perfect working environment you need for your car restoration.
Fantastic! I’m doubly jealous - that you live in The Netherlands; one of the most (if not *the* most) progressive, clean, culturally significant and beautiful country in Europe ...and that cavernous man cave! I’d do anything to have such a space! Well done, and enjoy it!
That's a rather large space for storing an electric bicycle, only slightly envious.
Jealous, me? Noooooooo.

Ignorance breeds Fear. Fear breeds Hatred. Hatred breeds Ignorance. Break the chain.
Enough space for a fleet for classic cars! As others have said, I’m totally jealous. Enjoy it mate!
If I had that I wouldn’t be selling a Series 3 Landy
Wow Menno, jealous doesn't cover it, that's a fantastic space.
I have to squeeze between my machines in my current workshop, in there I could drive from one to the next.
If I am being picky, a bit more natural light would be a bonus.
But that really is trying to find a splinter of fault in a tree's worth of goodness

Wow what a space, so much room for activities.
What a wonderful space - would love to have a Man Cave with those proportions
Honestly guys, I'm already looking for a worn-out Chesterfield, some sofas etc for my man-cave. I've opened a Pinterest account for ideas for a self-built bar as well! Some bar stools and we're in business. Luckily, my youngest has developed a 'panache' for old-style record players, amps etc. I'm sure a complete old-school set will make it into the man-cave as well.
Current set-up: a boat trailer with a dinghy in the corner, two classic cars, a mower (to be bought before March, must be a professional agricultural quality) and a camper van. Our daily driver can be outside, aside from the barn under a carport (yes... there's a carport as well). I'm thinking of buying a bunch of second hand metal storage cabinets, align them with the doors facing the cars etc, so that the backs will become a wall for my man-cave. Then wood-cladding the back of those cabinets, bringing in a cave-ish atmosphere.
But first, I'm planning to paint the concrete floor; a very light green-ish colour/lime-like like I once saw on the deck of an aircraft carrier. BMW has an leather interior called Dakota Lemon that isexactly what I have in mind. I'll paint the walls white with a dark contrast colour at skirting board hight. Then: a woodturner workshop heater near my man-cave corner. Originally, I'd planned to tear the horse boxes in the back (3) down, but I think I'll keep them for storage (#1)and as an extra space for paint jobs (#2) and for sanding and cutting wood(#3). But that's all in the back of my head and not really set in stone.
The jury is still out on what to do with the outside... The 70s stones are not really beautiful. I'm planning to paint them. Perhaps white, like the house, with a dark grey strip at the bottom (against dirt) or painting it dark grey /charcoal as a whole. Very trendy now and often seen on barns here, where I live. More or less an architectural solution if you get my drift. I've asked my youngest and his mate to do that for me after I've chosen a colour. I'll pay them them the normal minimum wages. Again, something for next Spring and Summer.
At least I know where I'm going to be for the next three or four years!

That's superb, Menno. Did you buy the garage, which just happened to come with a house?
There's some inspiration here, should you need it: https://www.pistonheads.com/gassing/topic.asp?t=573190
Once you get a few pages in, there's some serious garage porn.
Keep us updated. I'm very jealous!
Although no trees were harmed during the creation of this post, a large number of electrons were greatly inconvenienced.
Ruddy hell Menno - that's a workshop!
I know you'll put it to good use.
Cheers,
Neil.
Superb. And it’s also a bonus that the current owners haven’t filled it with junk that you would have to dispose of.
True! And the items that are still inside are removed before we officially get the keys. The current owner even offered that we already can start using the space for storage, making our house moving easier. I politely told him that we don't need that, simply because I don't want a mix up of personal and business interest. After all, only after mid November we can call the house 'ours'. Still, a generous offer.
