Yes and no. More dial choices, none of which I like and they retired the best OP 36, the 116000.
It's a shame they're renders as the dials look flat and like a piece of coloured card. These could look rather good with the right dial finish.
My view is that the colourful 36s are meant for women... and the new 41mm OP is the new size for men.

Personally I like them and could see one being my next Rolex after trying 6 x 36mm Datejusts, Explorer 1 and a Milgauss.
The worst part is the Explorer will be 41mm next year :(
It comes to something when Rolex are following style trends from the people in India who have been reconditioning watches in these hues for years, like so:

The greatest achievement with this new model Rolex is that both the case AND the movement are 36 mm!
36mm = great size. Bring it on.
I agree that the dial colors on these are strange at best. I'd wear the green dial - and wouldn't mind owning one. And might wear the baby blue dial. But the other few are a bit too "eww."
The new PRS 25 variant dial look so much better than the new OP dial...

If Rolex looked into their back catalogue... can you imagine? 1016 with the thick dome plexi and the hands sitting high in the case. 6234 chrono. 6062 ... the list is endless and they would make a total killing. But they are not going to do it. In terms of size, it looks like they going up rather than down. Rolex are like wives, you never know what they are thinking.

So with these colourful dialed Oyster Perpetuals, Rolex is actually looking at their back catalogue for inspiration.
I think the guiding "lights" of Rolex might likely see themselves more as setting trends rather than following them, but the new party balloon dial colours do look suspiciously like those popular(?) in India (or maybe just Bollywood by way of its Oz[Ozone?] like sister city in California?) as pointed out above.
It does, as also suggested, seem to make more sense if Rolex is making these for the ladies at a larger size (for them, not us).
I like Abraxas' idea just above about bringing back the original early "gilt" dial ref. 1016 Rolex Explorer EXACTLY as it was, classic 1960's purpose-built tool watch era plexiglass OysterCase construction and all, but I don't think they'll do it either, despite the fact it was the original 1016, along with the 5513, et al., Submariner, 1665 Sea Dweller, Air King, Oyster Date, etc., and other '60s models that set Rolex in stone at the Excalibur levels of reputation they still enjoy but don't necessarily seem to still fully deserve

The brighter colours rub against the classic style for me but the green one looks lovely. 36mm is my sweet spot, wish I could justify the expense.
Who do you need to justify it to? If that is your thing, I say go for it. It's gorgeous. You are not going to find better.
Is it just me who thinks that an Aventurine dial would look neat on a 36mm PRS-25?
