    Nice one.

Been thinking of fitting that clasp on mine. What was the approx cost please?
Started out with nothing. Still have most of it left.

    That isn't a BB58

Of the two, I'd go for the Tudor.

My Omega in it's element (no watches were harmed during the taking of this photograph)

Have you considered the Tudor GMT?

I actually had the GMT, it was nice but it got moved on, though I do regret selling a few watches the GMT wasn't one of them tbh...

Personally, I'd only buy on an OEM bracelet and add additional straps thereafter. More cost effective than the other way around.

In regard to the size, I think the PO 42 wears smaller than its actual size. Even the 45.5 can look OK on a sub 7 wrist.

Here''s the PO 42mm next to 41mm Seamasters.

    And a couple obligatory pics...

    42mm

    45.5

    Other size comparisons

Thanks Jon, yeah agreed on the strap lol.

Out of interest anyone who has a PO, does it have a serial number on the back of one of the lugs?

Hard to compare these 2. Significant size difference between a thicker 42mm and a thinner 39mm.

I can say I’ve seen the 39mm BB58 blue on a friends wrist and it’s a stunner, maybe the best watch tudor have released in a while. Due to selling out they have been selling at a premium but unlike Rolex, stocks catch up with demand and those premiums fall away (use the Pepsi black bay gmt as an example) id go BB58 out of these 2

From memory it was 160ish quid, there’s a thread about it somewhere!

    You're welcome.

Yes, they all came from the factory with a serial number on the 7 O'clock lug. But around that time there were a lot of greys removing serial numbers due to not dropping the AD'd they got them from in the do do.

I’m partial to the Black Bay and if it were for myself I would absolutely go for the 58. It is such a classy diver and the blue is lovely.

With that said, the Omega is a gorgeous watch if you want something bigger and a little more casual. So the current state of your collection and what you’re looking for to complete it will probably go a long way toward helping to decide which is the best fit. Other than taking time to try them on and see which one fits best and resonates most.

If you’re considering the Planet Ocean, as others have mentioned, it may also be worn considering the 41mm Black Bays for a more direct comparison. For what it’s worth, my money is on the Tudor in any case, especially the 58 with its vintage vibes.

I’m thinking an Omega Planet Ocean Model Number 2201.50.00 or the Tudor BB58 Blue...

They are both stunning watches, I’ve got my eye on a couple of PO so will see what happens and guess it’s a game of ringing around AD’s and keeping an eye on SC for a BB58 blue...

Nice one, I can see these will now be harder to get after initial excitement of a blue steel sub
