If there really is a coloured no date Sub I'm going on the list for a 2023 pick up ha. Can't wait to see what they look like.
Doesn't that case back look thicker or is it just me.
Out of the blue! What bigger hint does one need to guess the color??
His batting average is absolutely horrible. Every year it's the same old prognostications; then when they don't come to pass, he deletes the posts. His successes in the past were the SD43 (which he nailed), the Ceramic PM Daytonas (where he didn't mention their defining feature of the oysterflex) and last year, where with just over 24 hours to go he landed all of Rolex's releases - leading up to that it was the usual suspects: a scattershot of white explorers, blueberry GMT, Milgauses etc etc.

I didn't know he deletes posts but that makes sense. He seems like a bit of a fruit cake yet quite the snowflake. I've seen his mock ups for the Explorer II for a while and don't think they will ever happen - looks like he put a ceramic bezel on just to put one on. Will wait for Tuesday.
Blue No date Sub anyone?

A stainless steel no date Submariner with Blue could definitely be the way to go. That way it differentiates it from the Smurf with not having a date.
Was the last time the Stainless Steel Submariner Date updated 2010 with the release of the Hulk?
Didn't the great Neil Young say '... out of the blue, into the black...'?
Anyway, who cares

Just in case Rolex are being particularly sneaky.......’out of the blue’ is a common expression for something completely unexpected.
Would much rather a blue bezel and a black dial. Even this looks a bit garish.
It will be something completely boring. Out of the blue. Out of boredom more like. It will a jubilee bracelet on a normal sub.
I say this as a Rolex fan.
I don’t think it will be a jubilee bracelet. My speculation is it will be a steel, blue ceramic bezel, (possibly blue dial) no-date sub with upgraded movement and it will stay at 40mm, but with the latest GMT 2 super case. I can’t see Rolex having a different case for the Sub and GMT. In any event I don’t see there’s any need to go up in size to resolve the bloated lugs on the current model. I also have heard from a trusted source that the OP 39 will no longer be available...but I don’t know if it will be replaced.

OK my guess so I have bragging rights if it comes true:
- 1 Blue bezel
- 2 Black dial
- 3 Sub no-date
- 4 Oysterflex
- 5 New movement
I shall disembowel a goat and study its innards. That is about the most accurate way of predicting what will happen that I can think of.
Hope its a 37mm midsize sub, that would be hilarious.
Eric Ku made this about 18 months ago. Sub ND, Smurf bezel, Pepsi bracelet. This on brushed oyster with a darker blue bezel would be top of the list.
I think it might be a precious metal version of a sub ND.
I think they will go with a darker blue dial with blue ceramic bezel. Plots look maxi in size like the current explorer. I think this will be a new model and maybe 42mm
For me I cannot see the sub on Jubilee bracelet for historical reason, jubilee is GMT and datejust. If there was another strap, it would be oysterflex, but my money is on no oysterflex also. I think they will stick with full brushed oyster only. Blue non date sub on oyster, black date sub on oyster. My money is on no precious metals this year due to Covid. Gold hulk to come.
Is there any chance it could be a sea dweller on oyster flex?, I think the case looks quite thick
new milsub =>https://trademarks.justia.com/884/08...-88408841.html
hence no hands shown on the teaser
Love the guessing and teasing game
I had a call frim my AD early this week for a special incoming and whilst on the phone, i asked to be put on the list for the new steel yachtmaster on oysterflex if its released. He said sure, if that is released next week. hoping its the case.

I'm trying to decide whether it's worth the effort to call in on Tuesday to get my name down, if there's anything I like the look of. Got nowt to show for having down similar for the last few years so it would be a triumph of hope over experience!
I like the idea of a "Professional" steel model on an oysterflex but that maybe is inconsistent with the oysterflex on PM models??
Think it really depends on your relationship with your AD. If its a good one, as others have mentioned, then they will register your interest on their system against your name. And then there is the question of prioritising you.
Personally, if such a watch is released, i wont be first on the list, but beither the last. Like everyone else, will have to wait my turn.
Maybe just wait a few weeks until it gets a little quiet. Its quite a frenzy Rolex has got people into. Lol. It reminds me of the good old days when Apple were planning to release their new tech.

Talking to Xupes sales guy just now, who’s had a busy day talking to all his clients. He is convinced hulk is gone and it will be dark blue dial sub with dark blue bezel, and don’t read too much in to the date or no date Rolex teaser. The no date teaser just looks better for the lume shot in social media, he thinks most likely will be blue date sub in steel.
I don’t see the Cyclops in the video. Also the dial has all the hour markers, rather than the date at 3:00, so it’s got to be a no-date.
